On February 8, Dr. Fang Liu, the Secretary General of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) visited Beihang University. Dr. Cao Shumin, Chairman of Beihang University Council, met with Dr. Liu and discussed on further deepening cooperation in the field of civil aviation.
At the meeting, the two parties reviewed the progress that had been achieved since 2016, and held an in-depth discussion with regard to co-hosting international conferences, training civil aviation talents and promoting collaborative research.
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is a UN specialized agency to manage the administration and governance of the Convention on International Civil Aviation. ICAO works with the Convention’s 192 Member States and industry groups to reach consensus on international civil aviation Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and policies in support of a safe, efficient, secure, economically sustainable and environmentally responsible civil aviation sector.
