On March 15, a China Scholarship Council (CSC) delegation led by Secretary-General Mr. Sheng Jianxue and Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Zhang Ning, visited Beihang University. Beihang President Professor Xu Huibin, Vice Presidents Professor Cheng Jiwei, Professor Fang Jiancheng and Professor Huang Haijun met with the delegation.
At the meeting, Professor Xu Huibin first welcomed the delegation and expressed his gratitude to CSC’s generous support towards Beihang in international education and faculty development throughout the years. Later on, Professor Fang Jiancheng reviewed Beihang’s achievements on academic programs, scientific research and social services. In addition, Professor Huang Haijun introduced Beihang’s international strategy and reported the progress on CSC-sponsored study abroad programs at Beihang.
Mr. Sheng Jianxue commended Beihang’s efforts on education, scientific research and international cooperation. He noted that CSC has been working closely with top universities such as Beihang to better support the development of their “Double World-Class” development through internationalisation.
In the afternoon, the CSC delegation attended a CSC-sponsored Study Abroad Programs Conference held at Beihang University. Representatives from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, and Beijing Institute of Technology, China Agricultural University etc. attended the meeting.
