On June 14, a delegation led by Professor Mykola Nechyporuk, President of National Aerospace University (Kharkiv Aviation Institute, KhAI, Ukraine), visited Beihang University. Beihang President Professor Xu Huibin held a meeting with the delegation.
Professor Xu Huibin congratulated Professor Nechyporuk for his inauguration and reexamined collaborations throughout previous years. Later, both sides held in-depth discussions on building joint research centers and promoting joint degree programs.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the Beihang Air and Space Museum.
The National Aerospace University “KhAI”, founded in 1930, is a Ukrainian university specializing in aviation and space engineering. The university is famous for its creation of the first high-speed airplane with a retractable landing gear. The University has trained over 80,000 engineers. More than 80% of the specialists who work in the Ukrainian aerospace industry are graduates of the National Aerospace University “KhAI”.
