From June 11 to 15, the first UIUC Faculty Development Workshop was held at Beihang University. A total number of 108 faculty members from 28 different schools participated in the workshop. The workshop was given by Ms. Cheelan Bo-Linn, Senior Specialist in Education in the Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning (CITL) at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
The 5-day workshop, aiming at promoting advanced teaching skills for Beihang faculty, focused on several topics, including course design, syllabus design, teamwork strategies and teaching evaluation. Beihang participants were actively engaged in the lively discussions and provided positive feedback about the workshop.
