On April 23, Professor Vincent Emery, Senior Vice President of the University of Surrey, visited Beihang University. Vice Presidents Professor Huang Haijun, Cheng Jiwei and Fang Jiancheng met with the Prof. Emery.
Professor Huang welcomed Professor Emery and introduced the latest achievements of Beihang in education, research and international development. Professor Emery in turn presented the history, academic excellence and development strategies of the University of Surrey. Both sides acknowledged the prospects for future cooperation and exchanged views on promoting research collaboration and strengthening partnership between two universities.
After the meeting, Professor Emery visited the Beihang Air and Space Museum and the Lunar Palace 1 Lab.
The University of Surrey, founded in 1891, is a leading public research university in the United Kingdom. It currently has over 16,065 students studying in 3 colleges. Beihang and the University of Surrey officially established partnership in April 2018.
