On September 24, 70 students engaging in exchange studies at Beihang during the 2018 autumn term travelled to the Mutianyu Great Wall for an excursion organized by the International Division.
As a world renowned architectural and historic wonder, the Great Wall is a must-see for foreign visitors to China. First built during the 6th century, Mutianyu is the one of most visited sections of the Great Wall with its exceptional charm and beauty.
The students hiked all the way up over countless stairs and multiple beacon towers, and were able to view the Wall winding through the mountains scattered with yellow and red autumn leaves. Lucas Brendler, a student from Dresden University of Technology in Germany said, “I had an amazing experience with the scenery, the history knowledge acquired and the new friends I met though this trip!”
Each semester, the International Division provides a series of tours for international exchange students to experience Chinese culture. This is the first trip of 2018 autumn semester.
