本讲座围绕电机损耗、电机故障及失效展开。电机作为一种必不可缺的驱动装置，在现代工业生产中占据着重要地位。一旦电机出现故障，不仅影响生产设备的整体生产效率，造成经济损失，严重时甚至会引发灾难性的事故。因此，为了保障生产系统的安全运行，及时发现问题并进行维修以减少生产损失，对电机进行状态监测与故障诊断具有非常重要的意义。

讲座内容：

学术论文写作是将研究成果，采用恰当的表现方式表现出来的过程。一篇好的论文除学术思想外，亦需具有必要的组织架构、表达技巧和论证过程，后者属于写作方法的问题。写作方法与学术思想相互辉映，才能获得学术的传承和推广。“文无定论，但有章法”，掌握一定的论文写作技巧和方法是必要的。本次讲座将围绕如何撰写学术论文展开，克服高水平SCI撰写难的窘境。

主讲人：Professor Wen-Ping Cao, Aston University, Birmingham, United Kingdom

主讲人简介：

Prof. Wen-Ping Cao is Chair in Electrical Power Engineering, and Head of Power Electronics, Machines and Power System Group of Aston University, UK. He received the B.Eng in electrical engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University in 1991, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical machines and drives from the University of Nottingham in 2004. He was the recipient of the “Best Paper Award” at the 2013 International Symposium on Linear Drives for Industry Applications, the “Innovator of the Year” Award from Newcastle University in 2013, and the “Dragon’s Den Competition Award” from Queen’s University Belfast in 2014. He was a semi-finalist at the Annual MIT-CHIEF Business Plan Contest, USA, in 2015. He received the Royal Society Research Merit Award in 2016.    

Presently Prof Cao a Royal Society Wolfson Fellow and is the Chairman for IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, UKRI. He has published over 200 journal papers and 80 conference articles. His research interests include fault analysis and condition monitoring of electric machines and power electronics.
