From July 3 to July 9, the International Graduate Summer School (IGSS) in Aeronautics and Astronautics was held at Beihang University. The one-week program aimed to inspire innovative thinking and promote academic exchange among postgraduate students in the fields of aeronautics and astronautics. Over 80 graduate students from across the world participated in this year’s IGSS.

Themed on “Integration and Innovation of Aeronautics, Astronautics, Informatics & Aerospace Medicine”, the 2019 IGSS focused on challenges that go beyond the established framework of research in the aerospace industry. A series of lectures, science competitions and laboratory visits was arranged around the theme to encourage critical and innovative thinking among postgraduate students.

First launched in 2011, IGSS has hosted more than 800 engineering students and unfolded the opportunities to understand China and explore the universe.
